Ethanol-Free Gas in Roseburg, OR

Notes: Signs and online prices advertised lead you to believe that cash and card are the same price but they charge extra if you're paying with a card. At current prices adds 11 cents per gallon. Non ethanol gas available but add 17 cents per gallon if you're using a card. Staff do a good job but still giving 1 star due to misleading prices.

Notes: I was driving from Washington to California for a family funeral & wanted to stop & get gas before the mountains. I was at the light about to go to the Chevron & saw the Sinclair with regular unleaded listed for $2.99/gallon (11/21/2024), my car requires premium, or 92 octane, so I figured it’d be about .50/gallon more. I asked for premium, still not used to someone else pumping my gas, & the guy handed back my card I did ask for a receipt. To my surprise it was $5.13/gallon, I was already back on the freeway when I realized it. I assume this was non-ethanol gas, but I was not told & the price was not listed anywhere (other than on the pump) because I wouldn’t have paid that. I was on a strict budget & was quite shocked at the total - that’s more than I paid in California or Washington, who both have more gas taxes than Oregon. I will use non-ethanol in my motorcycle, but it does nothing for my car, & I actually had the worst gas mileage of the trip from that tank. I really wish the young man had verified that I wanted non-ethanol, or had told me the price. I would have given less stars, because quite honestly I’m still ticked off almost a week later, but the staff was friendly, the store & bathrooms were clean - which is always nice when traveling.
